ShopTab's Checkout Cart integration (supports a payment gateway or the Cash on Delivery option) allows the retailer the opportunity to create product options for user selection prior to checkout. Many products have unique colors, sizes or other descriptions that are required to complete a valid purchase. We call these product variables and you can set them up to work within your cart checkout system.
NOTE: You must have the integrated cart activated to see this option in the product listing.
First, if you want to support these options you will check the "Product Variables" box in the appropriate product listings. Once that is selected you will be presented with open fields for these options (noted below). Fill out the fields that best describe your options.
Single Variable:
The variable will show up in the store as noted below.
Dual Variable: You may need to support colors and sizes.
The variables will show up in the store as noted below. We've shown the use of words and abbreviations. You may set up more than two variables such as "Red - Small - Used" in these fields.
Variable with Inventory Counts: This allows you to set inventory levels by your variables. Inventory may be activated on the Settings/Options tab for the PayPal Checkout system.
The product will show up with inventory counts next to the variable. In the case of the white medium option it will show as a light gray and not allow anyone to select it as a product option.
You may also add a surcharge or "upcharge" for a variable for each product. When adding or editing a product variable, choose the option to allow for a surcharge. Add the cost for the charge in the open field.
The incremental cost will be added to the base cost of the item in the checkout.
If you need to allow users to input text into the product order, learn more about text input for your Facebook Shop.
